After the evenings difficulties with our parking fiasco we ended up going to Ghent for the evening. Cheered us up to see the beautiful city and all lit up with its Christmas market. We have been here before but forgotten how enchanting and magical it really is. Beautiful gothic buildings and cobbled alleys to walk around. Ghent has a beautiful 12th-century castle (Gravensteen) and the Graslei, a row of guildhalls beside the Leie river harbor. Worth a visit and think it's just as nice as Bruges and possibly even better.
