ichtenstein is small but what it lacks in size it makes up for in beautiful scenery and some lovely castles. It also has a cathedral in the capital, Valduz which is on the Rhine River near the Swiss border. In picture 9 I'm in Switzerland and Rolo 🐕 attempting to cross to Lietchenstein a few yards ahead. The Valduz castle is on a hillside overlooking the town and dates back to the 12th century and is a royal family residence. Down at the bottom of the hill from the castle is an iconic Red House in the Mitteldorf region of the city and it is known for its vibrant hue and its tower. The outside is a deep red and dates from around the 15th century but enovated in the 18th century. In the capital there is the cathedral Vaduzf St. Florin. It's a neo-Gothic church Originally a parish church, it has held the status of cathedral since 1997. We are staying on a car park but today by a sports ground but did find a sweet place we could have parked, near the Burg Gutenburg castle. Gutenberg Castle is in the town of Balzers. Unlike Vaduz Castle, Gutenberg Castle does not serve as a residence of the princely family of Liechtenstein and is open to the general public as a museum. The castle lies on a hill near the centre of Balzers and is accessible via a street behind the post office on a road known as Burgweg. We like it here very much here but head off tomorrow for Austria. Liechtenstein we think you're beautiful 🇱🇮👍
