How is it all going ? Things are changing quickly everyday in France. We won't be rushing back to the UK though as we are due to meet our kids on Friday here in France and flights are still going π Chris working from here so no need to worry about the quarantine. We are now in Coulon visiting family and staying in the aire nearby. We have to wear masks outside too from today. Mask wearing is different depending on what area you go to. Coulon is in the Deux-SΓ¨vres department. The village is listed as one of the prettiest villages in France. We love it here but definitely prefer it when it's quieter than it is now. Although they say it's quiet here for August because of Covid. The village is lovely and along a busy waterside frontage lined with restaurants, shops and quaint fishermen's houses. You can hire the traditional flat bottomed boats called "plates" with or without a guide. Canoes and kayaks are also available for exploring the tree-lined canals that branch off the main river or you can take your own in too. Coulon is the capital of the Green Venice (Venice-Vert) which is the north eastern end of the Marais Mouille, which itself is a part of the Marais Poitevin, the second largest wetland in France. Next stop will be somewhere towards Limoges. #france #travel Stay safe π«ππΎπ
A model my cousin has of an old Citroen van ….love them
Florry is sadly a little bit poorly. Having noticed a pressure drop in the pneumatic system we came across an air leak at front. My cousin and Chris tried to fix it but it needs a trip to the garage so we will spend another night staying here until we can find a garage open. It's 15 the of August and in France a national holiday so everything is closed. At least we are in a nice place to break down. Need a quick fix to get to the airport to pick up the family. Fingers crossed she will be fixed on Monday πππΎπ«π
