Moved on to Interlaken to visit Grindelwald, a village in Switzerland’s Bernese Alp. Very pretty, A lovely mountain with lovely hiking walks but really not Motorhome friendly….every turn or car park says no motorhomes and campsites in the region of 35 to 40 euros a night😱We loved yesterday's visits but decided to leave Switzerland as it's too costly. Thanks @leesmith2310 though for some good sleep spot recommendations while we were there 🙂. For us France and other places we have travelled to with Florry and our old camper has the same to offer if not more so we have left Switzerland. Now in Leitchenstein 🇱🇮 where we do have free parking for the weekend and it's not prohibited. We are in a car park overlooking the mountains and a bit of road noise but hopefully a calm night
Visited the city of Neuchâtel, in the French-speaking capital of Swiss canton Neuchâtel. It has a beautiful medieval old town with a 12th century castle and a Gothic church from the same period. Then onto our a free park up for the night on Oberhofen on Lake Thun which is one that didn't say no motorhomes and thanks to @leesmith2310 . Visited the beautiful fairy tale like castle and lovely surrounding gardens around it and the city of Thun in Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland region. Turreted Thun Castle, from the 1100s, stands on a hill above the old town. It has sweeping views of the Alps. The 14th-century City Church has an octagonal tower and a baroque hall. We did like this bit of Switzerland but still to expensive for us to stay. Worth it if you've budgeted for it as these places were lovely
