Let us know what you're all up to too 👍👫🚛🐾High winds and 5m waves predicted so we have come inland to Es Mercedal the middle of Menorca to stay at the only Aire on the island where you get to park for 24 hours, leccy, water and waste disposal all for 8 euros. It's located behind the police station just on the outskirts of town . We come here every few weeks. There are showers and toilets but closed this year due to covid. In the height of summer it may also be closed when they have an event on. Last year there was Mamamia on so closed one of the weekends we hoped to be there. Mercadal comes from the Latin word for market. It's still known for its market attractions. A lovely town with a traditional Menorcan windmill. Lots of good restaurants and a local supermarket close to the parking. Dominating the town is the beautiful Mount Toro (El Toro), the highest point on the island where you can go up and see the beautiful sunset over the island. South tonight weather permitting but sadly no diving yet 👍👫🚛🐾
