Only a few photos today courtesy of Eve, Dan and the Gorgeous Barney as they took Rolo out for a long walk. With Chris working and me still recovering it's hard to take him for long walks. Friends, family, love and kindness is what is important in life. Some thoughts I wrote today when it was just Chris and I in the lorry with Rolo away. I feel, anxious and scared at times and positive at other times about what is going on in the world right now and I know this is all normal feelings. What we do need is to be kind as humans to each other and not derogatory. I'm happy about the vaccination because I think it will help but aware some are scared because they think it may damage them. Mental health problems are rising and there are people who really do need social contact and others around them to feel safe and hence social distancing is so hard. The NHS is at a crises point and wanting lock down and business wanting to stay open as it's their only way of keeping going financially and to feed their families. There are many who live in a van or lorry like we do and have to move around to get food in their vans and people often don't want them to be staying put in their area. Others get angry at them thinking they're holidaying in their campers or motohomes not realising that is there home so lock down is hard for them too. This is now relevant to the UK right now but the same for van lifers all over when there are lock downs in place. When I think about it like this it's so hard for everyone and everyone has different ideas, thoughts, opinions and beleifs and that's always the way of the world. We are all going through this pandemic but from different perspectives. We all are needing and wanting different things but deep in me I want people to stick together, be kind and mindful of each other. At this time more than ever we need love not hate and by writing down my thoughts in this blog today I hope others too may take a moment to reflect about how we are all different and in our own ways all just as worried as each other.
