Small Home Big Adventure: Facebook 5th December 2020

Last night we spent the night in Binmela which is a very special place to me. No internet or reception, lovely chill out time. My father built a house here over 50 years ago and at the time the dodgy building company went bust but the house as it was still stands and I always go back to visit. We don't have any proof of ownership of the land as the agents never handed this on. As children we slept out a few times here under the stars in a little cave on one of the coves below. It was built in a marine reserve and the whole place was destined to be another Binibequer. Lucky the building didn't go ahead as it's so beautiful here and unspoilt. This place always feels magical and it's the first time there this year for us and we managed to get Florry there too which was a feat as it's not a proper road. Was surreal having my home so close to this place which should have been a home too. We made it and even out again despite the rain. I will upload some of the video footage later as it's gorgeous! Happy Saturday and stay safe #menorca #florrythelorry πππ«ππΎπ
Over 50 years ago dad started this build So sad, it should just be knocked down as it's a eye sore Looking out at dad's house Several houses were allowed but they were the other side of the road Rained and poured but we were nice and cozy with the fire.
